Taylor Swift: Words Impact Worlds

Raisng A WHOLE LOT of Money for Cancer

On a more somber note, these are lyrics from the song “Ronan,” which Swift sang at a Stand Up To Cancer benefit in 2012.

The song is sung in memory of a young boy named Ronan Thompson, who died from neuroblastoma when he was only four years old. Swift found the blog written by Maya Thompson, Ronan’s mother, and wove the song from quotes on the blog.

All proceeds from “Ronan,” which is still available for purchase online, go to benefit the fight against cancer.

Swift has only performed the song one other time: when her 1989 World Tour stopped in Glendale, Arizona, where Maya Thompson was in attendance.
