It is no surprise that Netflix has canceled yet another Marvel original in Daredevil. After the announcement that Disney was creating their streaming service, it was only matter of time before one of their most popular shows got the axe.

The streaming service made a statement to Deadline. “We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note.”

Although, Netflix does not release any of their data when it comes to viewership, Daredevil was definitely viewed among casual and non casual comic fans as the best Marvel Netflix show among their others.

Over the past few months, Netflix has cancelled Luke Cage, Iron Fist and now Daredevil. However, there has been now word if their other Marvel Netflix series Jessica Jones and The Punisher hold the same fate.

Female lead of the show, Deborah Ann Woll, shared her thoughts on twitter about the cancellation.

Netflix has made numerous attempts to lower their Marvel show count to 10 episodes per season. However, Marvel has shown resistance at every turn. Producing the Marvel shows on Netflix is fairly costly even with a generous tax credit from New York state.

Daredevil co-creator Sam Ernst even reacted on twitter.

Do you think the Netflix series will make an appearance on new Disney streaming platform? Let us know!
