Ariana Grande: A survivor with unbreakable strength

Ariana Grande, Billboard Music Awards, Sweetener

5. Manchester Attacks

While on her third tour, Dangerous Woman, the unthinkable happened. A suicide bomber let off a homemade bomb during Grande’s concert in Manchester killing 22 fans and injuring many others. The tragedy took a toll on the singer, but that didn’t stop her from wanting to help.

"The fact that all of those people were able to turn something that represented the most heinous of humanity into something beautiful and unifying and loving is just wild," Grande told Fader in May.

Despite the fear and sadness, her, her fans and the world were facing, she organized a benefit concert called One Love Manchester to benefit the victims of the attacks. Less than two weeks after the attacks, Grande put on this concert along with other big names such as, Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Miley Cyrus just to name a few, raising over $23 million.
