Troye Sivan and Charli XCX release 'Matrix'-themed cover art for new single

Individually, singers Troye Sivan and Charli XCX are the icons of their genre and a symbol to the girls and gays of the world. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with, especially as black latex-wearing saviors of the world.

On October 1, XCX and Sivan released the cover art for their joint single, "1999," dressed just like Neo and Trinity from The Matrix, which is the year the movie was released, coincidentally.

Before the cover art, the two singers teased that the song was already around the corner.

Twitter girls, guys and gays were in on the mysterious conversational tweets between from the pop prince and princess.

Hey Troye....... @troyesivan ?

There was much love to be shared between the two because why wouldn't there be?

Fans of both Sivan and XCX cannot contain their excitement for what would be considered the "collab of the year"!
