Technically, in the grand scheme of things, Schumer wasn't the one to announce her pregnancy.
On Oct. 22, the actress took to social media to share that her and husband chef Chris Fisher will be expecting their first child together.
Schumer let an Instagram post do the talking with a picture of Schumer and Fisher's faces photoshopped on the bodies of Britain's royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In the photo, Markle is seen cradling her newly announced baby bump.
Without fully spilling the news, Schumer asked fans to follow former CNN chief White House correspondent Jessica Yellin's Instagram page for more information about voting in the midterm elections.
Yellin spoke about her #NewNotNoise campaign on her Instagram story and a list of Schumer's preferred candidates for voting.
"We are 15 days out from the midterms and there is a lot going on. I'll break down the latest for you coming up, but first I wanted to share some news from our community. Maybe it's noise, but it's happy noise," Yellin said. "So, I'm not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer — one of the most consistent and early supporters of #NewsNotNoise."
After the candidates' list, the end of Yellin story read, "I'm pregnant – Amy Schumer."
Schumer and Fischer wed in February amongst their famous friends in Malibu. Stars like best friend Jennifer Lawrence, comedian David Spade and actress Chelsea Handler were in attendance.
