Boxing champion Canelo Alvarez signed the largest sports contract in history.

After his recent victory over Gennady Golovkin last month, middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez signs an 11 fight deal that is worth at least 365 million with a video stream and service DAZN. This opportunity comes about after his deal with HBO expired.

HBO announced they were getting out of the fight game after 45 years as the end of the 2018 year. Canelo's last fight with Golovkin was an HBO pay-per-view exclusive. That fight brought an estimated 50 million dollars.

Canelo is the current WBA and WBC middleweight champion.

Alvarez recently told ESPN, "This is only from my hard work." He continued by stating,

"The most important thing to me was being able to give the fans the opportunity to see me fight without having to pay the $70 or $80 for my fights on pay-per-view. That was the most important thing, more important than what I am making."

DAZN is a fairly new subscription-based streaming service, launching in select countries back in 2016, but just launched in the United States last month. They charge customers $9.99 a month and will broadcast more than 80 fights a year.

DAZN has also signed the current IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Alvarez's next plan fight is the sub of 15th a Madison square garden in New York against Rocky Fielding.
