Wicked celebrates 15 years on Broadway!
If Halloween wasn't wicked enough, Adam Lambert and Ledisi are joining NBC's special A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway may just push the holiday over the top!
Lambert is no stranger to the Broadway show, having been in the ensemble, as well as understudy the role of Fiyero, in the national tour and Los Angeles productions before he made his break on American Idol.
Ledisi is a singer and actor as well. The Grammy nominee is known for her role in the biopic Selma where she portrayed gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.
The special celebrates the 15th anniversary of Wicked on Broadway and will showcase the music from the show that tells the story of the Wicked Witch of Oz before Dorothy came along.
They join Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, who were the original Elphaba and Glinda. They will not only perform but serve as hosts for the event.
Other special guests include Ariana Grande and Pentatonix.
The show will tape at New York's Marquis Theater and be produced by the original Wicked team, including the Tony- and Emmy-winning Marc Platt, along with Emmy winners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment. Weiss will also serve as director, according to NBC.
A Very Wicked Halloween will air on NBC on October 29 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
