20th Century Fox released their first trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix set to release February 14, 2019.
The beginning of the trailer shows a young Jean Grey arriving at the X-Mansion. Then a voice-over from the girl asks Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), "You think you can fix me?" The Professor followed by saying, "You are not broken."
After that, the song "The End" by The Doors begins to play. This is followed by a montage of scenes showing the X-Men team. The characters included Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smith McPhee).
This film picks up shortly after the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse. At the ending of that film we get to see a glimpse of the Phoenix Force. In the comics, the Phoenix Force is an immortal, indestructible and mutable manifestation that bonds with individuals, and gives them immense power. From the X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer, we see more glimpses of the Phoenix Force.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is taking place in the '90s. In the film, we will see Jean Grey emerge into her Phoenix Force powers. However, that power soon corrupts her, and she start hurting those around her. It is up to the X-Men to decide if saving one of their own is more important than saving the world.
Earlier this year, Fox and Disney signed a merger deal to acquire the rights to Marvel favorites such as The Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Disney also acquired Fox’s television and movie studio, cable television channels FX and National Geographic, a stake in streaming service Hulu, and television operations in India.
The deal does not go into effect until 2019, which means Fox will release their supposed last X-Men movie under the 20th Century Fox studio X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
