Coach officially has a new face and boy is it a nice one!
Actor and producer Michael B. Jordan was named the new face of Coach’s menswear on September 20.
Jordan is the first man to represent Coach and will include global advertising campaigns in the Spring 2019 season. His partnership will include men’s business wear, accessories and fragrance, as well as philanthropic work with The Coach Foundation and special design projects with Stuart Vevers, Creative Director of Coach.
At only 31 years old, Jordan has achieved quite a lot of greatness in the past year, including co-starring in the highest grossing superhero movie in the U.S., Black Panther, and now being the first man to represent Coach!
It’s a new era for brand ambassadors, it’s a time for them to get involved and help create rather than just sit in front of a camera and pose and this is great news! If you’ve ever seen Jordan’s style, let’s hope he gets a say in the creative direction, because that will have the Coach website crashing with all of the hits.
Jordan has shown his excitement for his future endeavors with the brand since the announcement, “I’m looking forward to jumping into the creative process and exploring fashion through a different lens.”
With Coach launching their collaboration with Selena Gomez this past summer, they’ve let their ambassadors get involved and have a say in the products that they’re creating.
It’s refreshing to see a more diverse group of faces to help launch new collections. It’s no longer someone that looks like every other model in the past, but people with a new look, and who deserve the recognition!
