Mark Burnett and Tom Arnold squabble at Emmy party

Mark Burnett and Tom Arnold clashed at Sunday’s Evening Before Emmy party, which apparently lead to bruises.

At a fundraiser event held at the Lawn at Century Park, an apparent squabble ensued between television producer Mark Burnett and American actor and comedian Tom Arnold.

Minor details from a source with information on the confrontation says that both Arnold and Burnett arrived around the same time. As they entered the event, a tussle occurred. Arnold accuses Burnett of trying to choke, however, it is uncertain who threw the first punch.

For several months, Tom Arnold has accused Mark Burnett of covering for the President of the United States Donald Trump. Arnold suggests that Burnett is in possession of footage from the show The Apprentice, where the current President uses derogatory language.

Arnold also claims that some of the tapes are now in possession of Ronan Farrow.

The tension between Mark Burnett and Tom Arnold may also be connected to the new series Arnold is doing for Viceland called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, which premieres Sept. 18, 2018.

Mark Burnett was an executive producer of The Apprentice, which Donald Trump hosted. Arnold states, "My whole goal, really, is to get one 12-hour day of the boardrooms shoot. Because if America could see that, they’d know what’s going on in the White House right now, how incompetent the guy is. That’s really my goal. It’s not to hear one N-word. And by the way, you’d hear much worse than that."

In a tweet Arnold stated, "Mark Burnett just went apesh-t & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD."

The wife of Burnett, Roma Downey, had a different account. Downey states in a tweet, "Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom?Please stop."

No further details have been given about the squabble.
