17. Powers Boothe

Born in 1948 in Snyder, Texas, he was the son of a sharecropper. Boothe was the first member of his family to go to college, studying acting at Southern Methodist University.

The most convincing and likable villain that he played was Curly Bill Brocius in Tombstone (1993).

He was in HBO’s Deadwood (2004) as Al Swearengen and he was Gideon Malick the head of HYDRA on Marvel’s: Agents of Shield.

Powers Boothe died of natural causes May 14, 2017.
