Lebron James 'Space Jam 2' confirmed

Philanthropist, businessman and athlete LeBron James is continuing his step into the acting world by starring in Space Jam 2verifying the rumors that Warner Bros. will be producing a sequel.

James is no stranger to the acting world. The NBA player has starred in several Sprite commercials and has featured in several films such as More Than a Game, TrainWreck and  SmallFoot. 

He has also produced several television series such as Survivor's Remorse, The Wall and The Shop. 

The first Space Jam movie came out in 1996. and starred NBA all-time great Michael Jordan, Wayne Knight and comedic Icon Bill Murray. Other NBA stars were featured such as Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Muggsy Bogues, Shawn Bradley and many more.

The film also starred iconic Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Tasmanian Devil, Marvin the Martian, Sylvester, Tweety, Porky Pig and many more.

Music from the film included two top charting songs "Jam," by Michael Jackson and "I Believe I Can Fly," by R Kelly, the latter winning multiple Grammys in 1998.

James has recruited American film director, producer, and screenwriter Ryan Coogler. to produce the Space Jam 2. Coogler is known for producing and writing films such as Black Panther, Creed and Fruitvale Station. 

Space Jam 2 will be directed by Terrence Nance. He is known for creating HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness and directing the experimental film The Oversimplification of Her Beauty. 

This will be James first starring role since being a supporting character in the 2015 Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck.
