Television cop show ‘Babylon’ will be sold this year

Danny Boyle, the Academy Award winning filmmaker, is taking on a venture for the small screen. Indie distributor DRG will be looking for buyers for the show, Babylon

DRG CEO Jeremy Fox told The Hollywood Reporter, "At heart it’s a crime series, but with this creative team, you’ll have never seen a police force at work like this. Once again it shows what we can do as part of the MTG family."

Boyle will direct the cop drama that is set to debut this February in the UK, according to Variety. The pilot has been penned by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. Six episodes have already been ordered for the production. The cast includes James Nesbitt from The Hobbit and Brit Marling from Another Earth.
